Ok ok! I’m gonna blog now! :C Geez. My sister says I’m a GLOB. So now the GLOB IS BLOGGING. Thanks man…
Ok on to part 2 of the UK post.
Right where was I? Oops.
Eh… never mind. Here goes. (BTW do realise that my comments mostly come AFTER the pictures. Actually as long as your brains are working you should realise that. Or else the comments don’t make sense.)
St Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe and Science Museum.
St Paul’s Cathedral
So one fine day (sounds like some stupid primary school essay), I went with my sister to Mansion House area to visit some places of interest.
I think. Hahaha. Might have remembered wrongly. Oh dear.

Gorgeous, isn’t it? I love such architecture.

Here’s a closer view of the cathedral. Almost feels like someone’s gonna pop out from all those nooks and crannies.

The picture speaks for itself. In fact if I didn’t already know that I took a picture of a squirrel, I’d have not known where it was… well can you spot it?

Round the corner you see the gorgeous sculpture/statue/monument.

Oh I absolutely LOVE this picture. I like this kind of trees anyway. Or those sweeping willowy types. Anyway it gives it a much softer, whimsical feel against the cathedral.

This is well, a close-up of the double doors and pillars. And of course the view is from down to up, and you will realise that for many of my other pictures as well, since I’m neither giant nor bird.

Oooh I like this picture too. I like the sky mostly. In UK at this period of time, the sun really beautifully without scorching your skin. Good, eh?

Ah hah! The front view! I couldn’t get the exact front but oh well. There’s a clock tower and a I-don’t-know-what-but-I’m-guessing-it’s-a-bell-tower-or-something.

Moving the camera view down a little, you will see a bunch of people who like sitting on steps. No really, I don’t understand what’s with sitting on steps unless you’re trying to sketch some statue or something…
Like this one.

NOOOO! Oh my tian I have become so lame! Oh my demented self. No nonono. It’s my doppelganger who did this. Really. Ok let’s move away quickly from this.

Yes ok that was what I saying previously… what’s that hole for? Is it some bell gonging tower or something? Hmm…

Ok this is the last picture of the cathedral. Moving onwards…

Random place I decided to take a picture of ’cause it looked so quaint.

Bridge towards the Shakespeare’s Globe. The Tate Museum was there too, but we went in and didn’t see much. The sky is lovely and so is the cityline. But the river is NOT clean. You can’t see it here but. Ack.

A streak across the clouds. And the sunset soon to arrive. I love a gold sunset, and this one is tinged with pink too.
Shakespeare’s Globe

And so here it is. What’s with the hot pink and red lighting? I have no idea. Lol. But yea over in this picture you can see the roof is shaped in its famous ‘O’. C:

The gorgeous gates!!! So intricately designed, and it’s a nice tall set of gates. There were like faces on the gates… a bit creepy in a sense. Hmm. But I don’t have a picture of it I think…

When I went inside and turned left, I saw this. Some restaurant bar thingie, with a guy dressed in black facing his butt to me. :S

And the ground actually has names all over it! Cool! I didn’t realise until on closer inspection. Well then again in UK I’ve been cultivating a habit of looking at the ground as well as in front of me when I walk, due to the large amount of 1) SPIT and 2) Pigeon SHIT on the floor.
I didn’t take a picture of the shop itself but I got a few stuff from it. C: Well that part is for later…
Science Musuem!!!
I went to the Science Museum with Fuay, though later I went again with my sister. I’ll talk about that later. But yup, here it is.
I wanted this actually! I wanted to buy it but in the end… ack. Monetary problems…
There were also cool Tyvek wallets around.
I shan’t be bothered to explain about them, but they’re really cool so just check them out yourselves! Keyword is plastic fibres.

3-D gallery! Woots! From shovels to tractors. The timeline of it. If you want individual pictures of each gallery box just ask. I’ve got the whole range down.
And I went to the plastics section too. And came across this cool chandelier made entirely out of plastic ballpoint pens. Beats me why they would wanna do this though, whoever they are. Especially since a huge section of the museum is dedicated to Earth and energy saving. I can’t see how this is environmentally friendly… unless the ink is dried up. Or even so recycle it. But hennyways that’s how it is. No matter how much a showcase claims to support environmental campaigns or something, it always eats up lots of energy itself…
Well this is it. Very prettily done. C:
A cute old version of TV that is actually working! Hahhahaa.
It’s seriously like they described. A brown box with moving pictures…

And the motor section within the plastic section (?), or am I badly mistaken… was cool though.
PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh so cute so cute! Piyo striking a pose!
PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO PIYO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok now that I’m done with Piyo’s occasional guest appearances, let’s move on. C:
Buckingham Palace, Taming of the Shrew
Buckingham Palace
Which I kept saying as Birmingham Palace, no idea what was wrong with me. And when I said Birmingham Fuay was like WHAT!? That’s outside of London! Lol. Ok ok. BUCKINGHAM. C: Well I sneaked some shots in the gift shop. I wasn’t supposed to DUH. But here you go.
The gift shop. Lovely place with beautiful red carpeted floors and LOVELY absolutely AMAZING prices. Hah… haha. :C

This is the archway in the gift shop. You can see those humongous pencils at the second top most shelves. I love such funny, gigantic, a little impractical stuff. Lol.

This is a nice section with all those really royal looking stuff with royal looking prices. Think a timble here costs around 3-5 pounds, can’t really remember. They’re really gorgeous though. C: Can you see those nice round containers? Those are marmalades! I wanted a pot! GAH! *sniffles*
I bought a crown keychain for myself, postcards as well. Fuay got me a lovely red pen with Buckingham palace printed on it. Thanks Fuay! Pictures of souvenirs will include the stuff bought from here and other places. Lol.
We walked out later and almost didn’t go see the palace itself. But ok we did go in the end. And the first thing I did was take pictures of the guards with their WONDERFUL FURRY BLACK HATS!!! Someone get me one! Just for the fun of it.

We didn’t get to watch the changing of guards this time round though. Pity.

Fuay standing at the gates wearing her nice black coat! Lol! I took a picture with me inside as well, but I refuse to post it up. I’m not the best looking person you can see around. C: So if you wanna see it just ask me for it. Obviously I would never let you see it If I didn’t even know you in the first place though. Waahahahha.
And now for a slew of pictures taken at Buckingham Palace.

There was always some stupid car about. So I had to take several shots…

Intricate gates! You can see the details much clearer in this picture.

The oh-so-gorgeous fountain area. I think it’s really beautiful. And the water looks so nice and calm and clear and peaceful… ahh…
So I got Fuay to sit on the ledge to take a picture! Nice, huh? C:
And of course I took one of myself too. And of course I’m not posting it up either. Suffice to say I liked the picture a lot.:D

Golden angel. With some legs at the right side of the picture.

A larger view of it all. Too bad I didn’t get to go in. UGH.
Taming of the Shrew

A shot I took before the start of the Shakespeare play at the Novella Theatre. Thanks so much Fuay! Fuay got me free tickets for the play by the way.
I found the play quite bad at the start and at the end. The effort to try and incorporate some modernization into it was… well better off without. And there were too many sexual innuendos for my liking. Also this wasn’t exactly one of my favourite plays that Shakespeare wrote because it’s so full of male chauvinism. And I absolutely cannot stand that. That aside, the actors were good and they carried out their parts well. Yep.
Random cute stickers I got from Paperchase when I went with my sister to Covent Garden. I didn’t take any pictures there though. Too busy eating my ice cream as well as Ben’s cookies of White Chocolate Macadamia!!! Woot I love soft cookies.

Cute food stickers. C:
Science Museum (Japan Car Exhibit), Victoria and Albert Museum
Science Museum (Japan Car Exhibit)
Yep my sister got tickets for us to visit the Japan Car Exhibit in the Science Museum so we made a trip there.
This was erm… one of the photos I snapped (again not supposed to.. :S), and it’s one of those cool powered chairs where you sit and it takes you places. Like in Wall-E. Guess the Japanese will come up with these stuff first. I wouldn’t mind one myself honestly. Then again if it’s really perfected it will have to undergo severe alteration in terms of the size of the seat…
Victoria and Albert Museum
I went with my sis to view some stuff, lots of which I could not sneak pictures of. But well I was allowed to take pictures in the Fashion Gallery so here goes. (Oh which reminds me, there’s a Christian Lacroix Exhibition in Singapore for a limited time! Do check it out at the National Museum!)
I took a lot more than this by the way but I just randomly picked some to put here… most of these were French-inspired by the way.

Kind of blurry but the lighting there wasn’t good and it was glass encased.
Now I liked this one! As well as the red one before that. But it isn’t as nice as it really is with this poor lighting…
We went to the Tsars exhibit in the V&A museum later on, but pictures strictly not allowed. So I didn’t take the chance. It was a paid exhibit after all, so we each got a booklet on the clothes and accessories of the Tsars that were showcased there. I will put it up on the next time… I got a nice really intricate and pretty notepad from the exhibit too.
Some random stuff…
Yummy Pasta Pesto my sister made for the two of us! She was complaining she put too much black pepper but I thought it was good. C:
Also, something I thought was interesting. Sainsbury’s is crazy about being environmentally-friendly. I mean their plastic bags are CRAZY thin. It’s ridiculous. You can see it here.
Which is kind of silly really, because people end up taking two plastic bags instead. By the way lots of shops in UK charge for plastic bags.
But then look what they waste plastic on.

Two apple tarts that clearly doesn’t need so much container space. =.=
LES MISERABLES!!!

Yea! So I’m on this topic finally. Go read the book. C:
Picture I took of the theatre. The set was completely amazing!
Before the musical started…
And of course during the musical – no cameras. They were pretty strict about it. Catching people and stuff. Anyway the musical was simply amazing. It’s breathtaking and I was stunned throughout the whole thing. The singing was just so beautiful. And I’m crazy over their voices. In fact, I will dedicate one post to this musical, because there’s so much about it to talk about. My sister bought me the photo book from here too. So do await that post. Meanwhile, I must add that anyone who loves musicals HAVE to watch this. It’s a MUST watch.
PIYO GUEST APPEARANCE ONCE MORE!!!

Piyo staring at the arctic roll we bought from the Big tesco near our place… (not-so-near actually, but we walked there…)
But… seems like Piyo’s not just hungry for food…
Ok here I must say something… I know I intended to finish this trip up in two posts, but I really get exhausted just writing one of it. And since I’m full of things to write about for the Les Mis musical, I will bring that on to another post… not sure when I will write about it though. In that same post I will blog about the stuff I bought from London and etc too. Since the pictures are in my camera and I didn’t take them until after I uploaded this batch. Therefore, I’m lazhy. Absolutely LAZHY to go upload them now. So I’ll do that for the other post as well.
The trip back to SG… this is how London Heathrow looked like at that point of time.

And then back in Singapore…
C:
Lastly, I’d like to say a super big thanks to my dad for funding me for this trip. I really had lots of fun. Also, a very very very gigantic thanks to my wonderful sister for bringing me around, taking care of me, and taking all my shit and nonsense. This trip wouldn’t have been what it was if not for her.
And also arigatou to Fuay Fie! Thanks for all the time you spent with me! And the tix and all those stuff…
hehehhe. Let’s go some other place next time!
